With the blessings of my Parents, Gurus and GOD, I have made a humble beginning on exploring and sharing the core teachings of Vedas & Upanishads and bring about the science behind them.  I will also prove in the days to come, the science behind Vedic derivatives including Rituals, Astrology, Music and others.

It is time every man becomes learned on the true essence of the oldest way of life on this planet called the Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Truth), rooted on the holy Vedas. According to me, re-establishing the Truth is the only way to free the knowledge seeker from the clutches of those self-proclaimed, manipulative and shallow-minded acharyas and other magicians who have been exploiting the innocents and abusing our vedic heritage for power, fame and money.

What I am Passionate about:

  • Advaita (Non-dualism) as the core principle of Sanathana Dharma (the Eternal Truth) as affirmed by Vedas & Upanishads.
  • Vedaangaas (derivatives of the holy Vedas) including Vedic Astrology, Vedic Music and Mantras.
  • Sanskrit, the oldest and the most beautiful language in the world.
  • Carnatic Music (Vocal & Violin).  I had my “Arangetram” (first stage performance) on Violin in 1986 at the Ernakulam Mahadeva Temple and my “Arangetram” on Vocal in 1987 at the Edappally Trikkovil Sree Krishna Temple.
  • I teach Vedanta, Vedic Astrology, Carnatic Music, both Vocal & Violin, on weekends to several persons of all age groups at my home in Tulsa, OK, USA.

About my Parents:

Though a native of Cochin, Kerala, India, I am a Tamil Brahman of Palghat origin.

My father (Late) Brahmasree N. Kameswaran was a native of the Mukhathala village near Quilon, Kerala. He was the third son of Choottara Madom Sree V.S. Narayana Iyer and Smt. Lakshmi Ammal (daughter of Mankompu Andi Iyer of Kizhakke Madom).

My mother Smt. R. Renganayakai is a native of Elamkulam Village near Adoor, Kerala. She is the second daughter of Sree R. Anantha Narayanan alias Ramanathan (Kuniyur, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu) and Smt. Sarada.

Soon after my Upanayanam at the age of 9, I was initiated into meditation by my beloved father with the blessings of His Holiness Sree Sree Abhinava Vidyatheertha of the Sringeri Mutt. My father was initiated into meditation (Upasana) at the age of 9 by His Holiness Sree Sree Chandrasekara Bharathi of the Sringeri Mutt. Sringeri Mutt is one of the four pillars established by Jagadguru Adi Sankara to spread Advaita (non-dualism), as established by Vedas and Upanishads.

A Structual Engineer by profession, my father was also adept at performing various Poojas at home, including the Sree Chakra Pooja. Right after my Upanayanam, he taught me Ganapathi Homam and Bhagavathi Seva. I was the “assistant priest” at home, helping him in all religious rituals. This continued for 28 years till he breathed his last on the Vijaya Dasami Day in 2003.

He was also a very famous Vedic Astrologer who strictly followed the Skanda Hora scriptures and offered miraculous solutions to thousands of individuals and families, through their own system of religion. He would foresee events and devise remedies; the word “prediction” never existed in his practice because it associated with it certain degree of uncertainty! Though his astrological diagnosis and foresight, while Hindus received solutions through temples, Christians received solutions through Churches and Muslims through Mosques. Due to this reason, several heads of Churches and Mosques also used to visit him for astrological consultations as well as refining certain rituals they performed for the benefit of the believer.

He learned the basic lessons in Astrology from his father (my grand father) and received extensive training in performing Tantric rituals from Sree Vaikuntam Namboothiri of Neelamana Illam, Mukhathala, his birth place. Mukhathala is a small and vibrant village, known for the ancient Murari (Maha Vishnu) Temple which is known to exist even before Lord Krishna’s reincarnation. Sree Vaikuntam Namboothiri was the Head Priest at the Murari temple during that time.

My father is also my first Guru in Carnatic Music – both Vocal and Violin – during the initial stages, while I learned devotional music from my mother who rendered beautiful songs during every pooja at home.

My Gurus in Carnatic Music (Vocal & Violin)

Subsequently, I began learning both Vocal and Violin from Sree S Hariharan, Cochin, who is a childhood friend and disciple of Violin Maestro Sree M Chandrasekaran.  At 14, I was introduced to Sree KN Vijayarajan into advanced lessons in Vocal and Manodharma Sangeetam. Sree KN Vijayarajan was a disciple of Sree MR Sivaraman Nair who was a direct disciple of musician Sree Varadachari, popularly known as Tiger Varadachari.  While my Violin arangetram (first stage performance) took place in 1986 at the Ernakulam Siva temple, my Vocal arangetram took place in 1987 at the Edappaly Trikkovil Sree Krishna temple.

While pursuing my Master’s programme in Structural  Engineering at Chennai, I pursued advanced Vocal lessons from Sree PS Thyagarajan of Mylapore who was a direct disciple of singer & composer Sree GN Balasubramanian, popularly known as GNB.  At the same time, I also continued taking advanced Violin lessons from Violin Maestro Sree M Chandrasekaran. As preferred by my beloved father, I stayed away from music sabhas and gave several Vocal concerts at various temples and Sankara peethas in Kerala and Tamil Nadu during 1988-2002.

My most memorable moments in music are singer & composer Sree MD Ramanathan, after listening to my singing at age 16, insisting that I join him in his Gurukulam; and, receiving State Awards from musician Smt. ML Vasanthakumari on both Vocal & Violin at age 17, at Kerala Fine Arts Society, Cochin.

I have been teaching music ever since I moved to Tulsa in 2007.
